Kay's Burden Lake Restaurant

This is one of the best pizzerias in the area. Worth the wait every time we go. In addition to great food, the local area is absolutely beautiful and the lakeside spot is charming.

This place is awesome! There's something about eating in there and sitting at the bar that's just like no other place around. They're scallops are absolutely phenomenal! The pizzas a perennial Award winner and their chicken wings are super underrated. Just a heads up the hot are hot. I suggest bacon, clam, onion white pizza. Accompany that with cold pitcher of beer and you are all set.

I have been hearing rave reviews about this place for at least a year and finally got the opportunity to try it last night. We were warmly welcomed by staff and had a very reasonable 20 min wait for outside dining which was cozy and the perfect amount of breezy at 6:45pm on a Wednesday night. I see why this place is regarded so highly. Christina took great care of us and our Thai chicken pizza came out hot and fresh and quickly! What a unique combination of flavors -perfectly seasoned, chicken and pizza both crisp and cooked to perfection, sauce was delicious! As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for decades I got the vibe that all the staff were genuinely happy to be there and were enjoying their shift which isn't always the case in restaurants. There was also a gentleman checking on all the tables who seemed genuinely invested in the guest's satisfaction which was a nice touch. The lakeside views while we waited of the ducks were pristine. It seems they have all the logistics figured out with their "drive thru" pick up lane and lots of signs about parking. This place really knows what they're doing in all areas and it shows. Coming from Schenectady it was quite the trek but definitely worthwhile! I hope to return and enjoy another meal there before the season is over.

A classic restaurant in every way. Opened in 1958, it definitely still has that old school feel. Family friendly with outdoor seating by the lake, they serve up pizza that never go out of style. A little thicker than your classic NY style pizza, but you still get that crispness that make those thin pies so great. It’s a bit out of a the way and a little bit of a drive but it’s worth it. Stop by, have a beer, order a pizza and some wings and enjoy!

Love the vibes. Come here with family at least one time a year. We went Sunday for our Dad's 70th bday celebration had a great time. Best wings around & pizza perfect!

My wife and I go to Kay’s on Burden Lake at least once or twice a month. Pizza is great and a good local beer selection. Great location to sit by the lake relax and enjoy the view. Staff is always great.

Kay’s is the cornerstone of summer dining — a true pillar of crispy pizza and ice-cold pitchers of beer. The wings and calamari round out the experience, creating a field of flavor that hits all the right notes. While the calamari could’ve been a touch crispier, it was still a delicious treat. The wings get a solid 8.0, and the pizza earns the same — crispy, cheesy, and just what you want after a swim or a sunny drive. All in all, Kay’s is a great place to unwind and enjoy good food with friends or family. Don’t be intimidated by the parking — it always looks busier than it really is. Just go in, grab a table, and enjoy one of the most classic summer spots around.

This place is always consistently good every year and this year 2025 is no different loved the pizza I ordered(all meat) love the system for getting the pizza to go just call order and go drive thru the line don't have to go in so convenient also nice to look at the water while you wait even opening day the service was excellent didn't have long to wait only wish It didn't cost me $70 for 2 pizzas but they were delicious
